Friday, September 11th marks the 25th anniversary of the Terrorist attacks on the United States on the World Trade Center Towers and the Pentagon Building. The NFL season started on Sept 9th in 2001, and the NFL postponed the games on the 16th and 17th of Sept. then resumed on the 23rd of Sept.  The patriotism on display at both the NFL and MLB games is something I’ll never forget. I lost a personal friend that day Robert J. Coll (Bobby Coll).

The Philadelphia Phillies head to Atlanta to challenge the National League East leading Braves. The NL East rivals are four games in front of the Phillies for first place, so sweeping the Braves is a must if the Phillies have any hope to win the NL East this year. The Braves send Chris Sale with his 2.10 ERA to the mound; Last time the Phillies faced Sale, he went six innings, allowing two runs, and Atlanta beat the Phillies 5-2. Sale has never lost to the Phillies as a Brave. We will recap all the action in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim.

On Saturday’s show, Producer Alex Berardis and Erin Ewing join me in the studio. We will recap the Phillies vs Braves Friday night action.  At 10:30am, we’ll go “On the Mound” with former Phillies Pitcher Tommy Greene brought to you by Blitz’s market of Ocean City. The Eagles open their 2026 season this weekend, and we will talk Eagles football. In Hour Two, it’s time for our “High School Athletes in the Spotlight. Every Saturday, Fran Mclaughlin will highlight a male and female athlete for their outstanding achievement in scholastic sports, brought to you by the Philly Pretzel Factory of EHT.

On Sunday, join us LaScala’s Beach House for our Eagles Pregame show at our special time from 1-3pm. Join me, Former Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Dave Klemic, Josh Hennig, and my Twin brother Bobby Schweim. We will get you ready for the Eagles kickoff and get the “Keys to the Game” from Fox 29 News Sports Director Scott Grayson brought to you by Blitz’s market of Ocean City. In Hour Two, my Fantasy Football Guru Brian Hartley will give us his picks for week one in the NFL brought to you by Charlie's Bar in Somers Point. Plus, we will be giving away 973 ESPN Locker Room T-shirts to lucky fans who show up at LaScala’s Beach House.  Also, don't miss Legal Insider Craig Mitnick, who will be at LaScala's in Brigantine to sign copies of his new book, "The Illusion of Justice: An Insider Account of the Greed, Power, and Broken Promises of the NFL Concussion Settlement"

All that and more this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim, every Saturday and Sunday on 97.3 FM ESPN South Jersey.
