The Locker Room Live At BayFest On Busy Philly Sports Weekend

The Philadelphia 76ers won their first game of the 2024 NBA Playoffs, Game Three against the New York Knicks on Thursday night.  Thanks to the heroic performance of Joel Embiid dropping 50 points on 19 shots and was 19-21 from the Foul Line.  The Sixers' Big Man guaranteed a series win after their game two loss to the Knicks and backed it up in game three. 

The 2024 NFL Draft started Thursday night in Detroit and the Eagles selected Cornerback  Quinyon Mitchell from Toledo with the 22nd overall pick.  General Manager Howie Roseman uncharacteristically didn’t make a move in round one but still got the man they coveted.  The Draft continues Friday Night with rounds two and three then Saturday afternoon features rounds 4 through 7.

The Phillies split their series with the Cincinnati Reds two games a piece this past week. Zack Wheeler pitched six scoreless innings, lowering his ERA to 1.93 while Bryce Harper returned from paternity leave and belted his fifth home run of the season on Thursday afternoon.  The Phillies head west to san Diego and start a three-game series against the Padres Friday night.  We will cover it all this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim!
