As the Philadelphia Eagles prepare for their 186th meeting with their rivals the New York Giants, the Birds will not be 100 percent for their first NFC East game of the 2024 NFL Season.

During the Eagles' win over the Cleveland Browns this past Sunday, Philadelphia Sports Fans saw three starters leave the game with Injuries. Tight End Dallas Goedert and Left Tackle Jordan Mailata both sustained Hamstring Injuries that have kept them from practicing this week.

The Eagles got some good news on Wednesday when Cornerback Darius Slay was a Limited Participant at Practice and was back on the field on Thursday.  With Talented Rookie Wide Receiver Malik Nabers returning for the Giants this Sunday, Philadelphia needs their Secondary at its best to deal with New York's best offensive weapon.

Official Injury Report For Eagles at Giants in NFL Week 7

On Friday's Injury Report, the Eagles ruled Out Jordan Mailata and Dallas Goedert as expected.  Philadelphia will be without some depth in the Secondary with Cornerback Eli Ricks ruled Out for Sunday's game.

In a separate announcement, the Eagles are placing Jordan Mailata on Injured Reserve. Philadelphia's Starting Left Tackle will miss at least the next four games and he is not eligible to return until November 14th when the Eagles play the Washington Commanders.

Defensive Tackle Jalen Carter hurt his Shoulder during Wednesday's Practice and was not participating on Thursday. He was back on the field at Friday's Practice and he is expected to be fully ready for Sunday.

Birds 365 Host and Eagles Insider John McMullen told The Sports Bash with Mike Gill on Friday that Defensive Tackle Milton Williams said he will play this Sunday. Williams has been dealing with an Ankle Issue this week and was a Limited Participant at Thursday's Practice.

Even though Slay is listed as Questionable is on track to play this Sunday. One name to keep an eye on heading into the weekend in Safety Sydney Brown. Listed as a Full Participant at Friday's Practice, Brown could be activated from Injured Reserve on Saturday and be active for Sunday's game.

The New York Giants got good news on Friday with Edge Rusher Brian Burns and Defensive Tackle Dexter Lawrence back at practice. Even though both are listed as Questionable, they are both expected to be ready to play this Sunday.

The New York Giants Defense has the most Sacks in the NFC this season, thanks in large part to the offseason acquisition of Pass Rusher Brian Burns. The Athletic Giants Beat Writer Charlotte Carroll told GameNight with Josh Hennig that Burns has been playing through a Groin Injury since Week 3 while Dexter Lawrence's Hip Issue is not serious enough to keep him from playing on Sunday.

As mentioned earlier, Rookie Wide Receiver Malik Nabers will return for the Giants' Offense this week after clearing the NFL Concussion Protocol. The sixth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has 385 Receiving Yards and Three Touchdowns through the first four games this season. He missed the Giants' last two games after sustaining a Concussion while making a diving catch.

The two players ruled Out by the Giants for Sunday's game are Punter Jamie Gillan and Cornerback Adoree’ Jackson. Gillan is dealing with a Left Hamstring Injury while Jackson is dealing with a Neck Issue. Giants All-Pro Left Tackle Andrew Thomas is expected to be done for the season after undergoing surgery to repair his Lisfranc injury.
