WATCH: Sixers Joel Embiid Stops For Unplanned Autograph Session

After a miserable first half that generated boos coming from the Philadelphia fans on Wednesday Night, the 76ers responded in the second half for a big win over the Miami Heat.

Thanks in part to Joel Embiid scoring 13 of his 23 Points in the second half, the Sixers are locked into the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.  Embiid and the Sixers will play the New York Knicks in the First Round starting Saturday Night; You can hear Tom McGinnis call the game on 973 FM ESPN South Jersey at 6 pm.

Surprise: Joel Embiid Signs Autographs for Young Sixers Fans

After leading his team back from a 12-point halftime deficit, Joel Embiid capped off the night in a special way for some young Sixers fans.  As he was driving away from the arena on Wednesday Night, Joel Embiid stopped his vehicle to sign autographs for some young fans:

Sources tell 973 ESPN South Jersey that Joel Embiid rarely stops for fans outside the arena after games in Philadelphia.  After most games, the 2022-23 NBA MVP Award Winner usually goes straight home to be with his family.

But on Wednesday Night, Joel Embiid made some young fans very happy by stopping to sign autographs in an experience they will never forget.  Embiid will not play another home game in Philadelphia until Thursday, April 25th for Game Three of the Sixers playoff series against the Knicks.

Another Sixers Player Surprises Fans After Wednesday's Game

Another Sixers player who stopped to sign autographs for fans after the Wednesday Night win over the Heat was Wingman Buddy Hield.  Even though he was one of the 76ers players who had a rough shooting night, Buddy Hield still took time for the fans outside the arena after the game.

Maybe this is Good Karma being built for the Sixers and will be paid off with a deep playoff run this NBA Postseason.  Yes, that is some positive spin but considering the 76ers have not gotten past the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs since the 2000-01 NBA Season.
