Vineland High School running back Isiah Pacheco will miss at least the next four weeks after suffering a broken fibula in the Chiefs win over Cincinnati on Sunday.

Pacheco left the stadium in a walking boot and was seen on crutches to undergo testing and X-ray imaging.  The injury occurred when Pacheco’s right foot got trapped when he was tackled from behind. He will will undergo an MRI today to determine if there is a fracture and or ligament damage to his ankle per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

He was having an outstanding day before the injury occurred, racking up 90 yards on 19 carries and added five catches for 21 yards.

For the season, the Vineland High school alum has 34 carries for 135 yards and one touchdown, adding seven catches for 54 yards.

A look at Pacheco's career before the NFL

Pacheco is in his third season with the Chiefs, wining the Super Bowl in his first two years with the team.  He was drafted by Kansas City in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Rutgers, where he finished ranked sixth in program history with 563 carries, seventh with 2,442 rushing yards and 11th with 3,039 all-purpose yards.

While at Vineland Pacheco played quarterback, running back and defensive back for the Fighting Clan, leading them to back-to-back playoff appearances. As a senior, he rushed for 1,414 yards and 18 touchdowns and also threw for 598 yards and three touchdowns. His junior season he ran for 1,107 yards with 15 touchdowns.
