St. Joe's standout Charlie Riccardi is the latest South Jersey high school athlete to take home 97.3 ESPN's High School Athlete of the Week honors. Congrats to him and his teammates.

This week, we have a new batch of local student-athletes this week who have proven themselves worthy in their respective fields.

Jordan Robertson, Basketball, Wildwood Catholic - The senior continues to emerge as one of South Jersey's top talents. He scored 25 points in a victory over two-time defending state champion Paulsboro.

 

Cory Damiana, Wrestling, Lower Cape May Regional - He enjoyed a successful week, notching his 100th career victory against Cedar Creek and solidified his wrestling future. Damiana verbally committed to Hofstra University.

 

LaDarrell Dixon, Basketball, Oakcrest - He dropped a game-high 23 points in a CAL national conference win over Bridgeton.

 

Mikila Stefanski, Basketball, Cedar Creek - She tallied 19 points against Lower Cape May, leading the Pirates past the Caper Tigers to improve to 9-2 this season.

 

Ed Shockley, Wrestling, Millville - The senior standout is verbally committed to play football at Villanova. He also excels on the wrestling mat, where he picked up his 100th career win and approached the all-time school victory mark.
