It got ugly in Minnesota last night.
So ugly that former Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz had to toe the rubber to help end the ugliness.
Ruiz, now a member of the Seattle Mariners, entered the game in the eighth inning with his team losing 19-6. He faced seven batters, and threw 30 pitches, walking two and striking out one. While he did get out of the inning, he served up a solo shot to Eddie Rosario.
