Eagles’ best number: 1 (first-half TDs allowed by defense)

Eagles’ worst number: 3 (Eagles turnovers: 2 intercetions and a fumble).

View from my living room:
I watched the game a few hours after hosting a party for friends and family on our deck for my wife’s 68th birthday. A fun time was had by all.

Three stars

  1. Bears quarterback Case Keenum (24-34 for 247 yards and 2 TDs, 1 rushing TD).
  2. Bears linebacker T.J. Edwards (1 interception, 3 pass defenses).
  3. Bears wide receiver Kalif Raymond (6 receptions, 90 yards, TD).

Eagles’ best play

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts hustled the offense downfield and scored the team’s only TD via a “Tush Push” with less than one second left in the first half.

Eagles’ worst play

Andy Dalton briefly replaced Hurts while Hurts was being evaluated for a concussion. Dalton’s only pass was intercepted in the back of the end zone by Bears safety Dillon Thieneman.

Turning point

Hurts went off the field to be checked for a possible concussion after a late hit out of bounds by Bears linebacker DeMarco Jackson. Hurts was cleared to return, but coach Nick Sirianni left Dalton in the game instead of calling timeout.

Did you notice? Kennum played for the first time since 2023 in place of injured Caleb Williams. He threw two TD passes in a game for the first time since 2021 and ran for a TD for the first time since 2019. … Tight end Zach Ertz made his Eagles return and had 1 reception for 9 yards. … Eagles 20-point loss was their worst since a 33-13 defeat to Dallas on Dec. 10, 2023. … Eagles safeties Andrew Makuba and Marcus Epps both struggled, as did linebacker Jhad Campbell. … Sirianni was spotted on camera yelling an expletive to a Bears player after the late hit on Hurts.
