Philadelphia Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet was recently in Avalon, checking out the new Gully's at 2688 Dune Drive, but that wasn't the only spot that the three-time Stanley Cup champion was spotted down the shore.

If you happened to be out and about recently, there's a chance you may have crossed paths with a Philadelphia sports star.

We recently wrote about Jason Kelce and Nick Sirianni down the shore, and this time, Tocchet made his annual visit to Marge's Diner, signing a No. 22 Flyers jersey, saying "the best restaurant at the shore".

This charming, family-owned spot has been serving breakfast and lunch standards at 1974 Route 9 in Clermont from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. since 1947.

Rick Tocchet's Annual Stop at Marge's Diner

A Magnet for Philadelphia Sports Icons

This small and quaint place is popular with Philadelphia sports stars. In addition to Tocchet, stars like Jason Kelce, Cole Hamels, and the late Bernie Parent have had a meal at this charming “mom and pop” stop.

And it wasn't Tocchet's only visit to Marge's; he was also there last summer, back in August, and took pictures with the staff.

A Tradition of Good Food and Big Fans

So if you have never stopped into this unassuming spot in Clermont, just outside Cape May Court House, make sure you plan a meal there this summer. They are big sports fans, and you never know who might be dining there!
