One thing I noticed when moving to Atlantic County is that there aren't a lot of things to do for adults who were once really involved in sports.

I know that sounds like a weird thing to notice, but formerly living in Gloucester County, there's a recreational league for almost every sport you could want to play within about a half hour drive. After relocating down here, it seems like you have to drive to Camden County if you want to be a part of any adult recreational sports leagues.

That's a bummer, too, because there are some really great places in this area that could totally be used for adult softball leagues or basketball leagues. Now, there are a few things to do like soccer in Egg Harbor City and hockey in Egg Harbor Township, but that's about it. Sure, there's the softball league in Brigantine, but I can tell you from personal experience, it's hard to find out information about the program and messaging the Facebook group hasn't gotten me anywhere.

That's when it hit me that I should look into Galloway's recreational programs. As it stands, there's nothing there either! It shocks me that nobody in Atlantic County has been interested in starting a league for something other than pickleball in the last few years. Don't get me wrong, I definitely want to try my hand at that one of these days, but it's weird that there's no recreational leagues in the area for adults to get involved in just for fun.

If anyone knows of any recreational softball or basketball leagues, definitely let me know!
