During the High School Sports Winter season, 973 ESPN South Jersey and Prime Events have brought you nominees and you voted for the South Jersey High School Athlete of the Week. Now we want to recognize the best female high school athletes of the 2021-22 Winter Season. The winner of the Female High School Athlete of the 2021 Fall Season was Egg Harbor Township's Jenna Gray and the winner of the High School Male Athlete of the 2021 Fall Season was Cedar Creek Quarterback J.C. Landicini.

Check out the nominees for the 2022 Winter season and then see who the winner of the voting is below:

*Mason Bushay, Mainland Regional - The Junior won the 100-butterfly and 100-backstroke at the Cape Atlantic League Meet and was named Most Valuable Swimmer. He finished 8th at the Meet of Champions in 100-freestyle.

*Cohen Cook, Mainland Regional - This Sophomore led the Cape Atlantic League Tournament champs in scoring (17.3) and was a force inside on both offense and defense this season.

*David Giulian, Middle Township - The Senior wrestler was sixth in the state at 190 pounds and finished his career with 116 wins.

*Carlos Lopez, Egg Harbor Township - This Senior led the Cape Atlantic League in scoring with 21.7 per game this season and also led the CAL with 76 three-pointers made.

*Carter Pack, Holy Spirit High School - The Freshman finished 20-7 on the wrestling mat and was a district plus region champion at 106 pounds.

*Jake Slotnick, St. Augustine Prep - This Junior finished the wrestling season 29-7, including winning the district and region titles at 150 pounds.

The winner of the voting for the South Jersey High School Male Athlete of the 2021-22 Winer Season is Mainland Regional's Mason Bushay.  The Swimmer received 52.1 Percent of the voting.  The winner of the S22outh Jersey High School Female Athlete of the 2021-22 Winer Season is Cedar Creek High School's Riley Lerner - Here you can see the past winners of the South Jersey High School Athlete of the Week.
