When it comes to the 2023 Philadelphia Sixers the biggest question is, what if?

What would the ramifications be if the team can't get out of the second-round - again.

"The ramifications may be significant for the future of the Sixers organization," said ESPN Sr. NBA Insider, Adrian Wojnarowski, during their playoff preview show on Sunday night.

"Start with coach Doc Rivers, the pressure on him this season to advance deeper in the post season. Certainly the front office.  What does it mean for James Harden's future in Philly?  He can be a free agent. The idea of going back to Houston is intriguing to him. A lot of it may depend on how this season ends. Then Joel Embiid, what does this roster look like, how does he see his future. A lot at stake for the Philly organization."

Woj mentions the potential of facing Boston in the second-round and not being able to beat them in previous playoff series. He hinted that if they could not jump past that hurdle, that changes could be coming.

What do those changes include?

Well as mentioned, the possibility of a new coach, Harden opting out of his deal and moving on, plus Embiid potentially asking to be moved if he doesn't like where the direction of the organization is going.

Either way, this is a huge playoff run for the Sixers, who open as heavy favorites against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday at 1 p.m.
