Honoring South Jersey High School Athletes is why Tom Williams and Prime Events have partnered with Schoppy Awards & Trophies each year, as they recognize the top High School Senior Athletes in the Cape-Atlantic League. The Billy Schoppy Memorial Awards were presented at the Ocean City Music Pier on June 13th, 2023 - Here are the finalists along with who are this year's winners:

The winner of the 2023 Billy Schoppy Memorial Male Senior High School Athlete of the Year is D.J. GERMANN of Egg Harbor Township High School. Germann scored over 1,000 points in basketball, and helped lead EHT to their first Cape Atlantic League Basketball Championship and to EHT's first South Jersey High School Basketball Championship. Germann is also a State Champion Sprint in Track and also played football at EHT.

The winner of the 2023 Billy Schoppy Memorial Female Senior High School Athlete of the Year is EMMA PERETTI of Hammonton High School.  Peretti tallied more than 400 career saves as Soccer Goalie and she averaged a double-double for three straight seasons in basketball as she compiled over 1,000 Points and over 1,000 rebounds in her High School career. Peretti also was a State champion in the Shot Put event of Track and Field.
