Philadelphia Eagles Kicker Jake Elliott is having a great season and he is one of the top reasons why the Eagles are undefeated this season. The seven-year NFL Veteran Kicker has been honored again by the NFL after Week Four of the season.

After making all four of his field goal attempts in the Eagles' Overtime victory over the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Jake Elliott has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season. Elliott leads the NFL in Field Goals Made this season (13) and his 48 Points Scored this season isn't just the best in the league, but it also accounts for 40.67% of the Eagles total scoring this year.

According to the NFL's press release that announced the Week Four Players of the Week, Jake Elliott has now won the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week five times in his career.  Elliott now has the second-most Special Teams Player of the Week Awards in Eagles Franchise History, just two behind David Akers.  The 12-year Eagles Kicker is the franchise all-time record holder for Field Goals Made (294), which is 143 ahead of Elliott.

Jake Elliott is averaging 3.25 Field Goals Made per game this season through four games.  If he maintains this pace, he is projected for 55 Fields Goals Made this season, which would be 11 more than the NFL single-season record.  The man who set that NFL record in 2011 was, ironically, David Akers.  So Elliott is chasing multiple records that Akers currently owns.
