Whether you enjoy the book in your hands or listen to audiobooks, many of you consume books during the summer months. Some people read books while on vacation, while others have a list of books they want to get through each weekend.

Science has proven that reading is also good for your health. Some studies demonstrate how reading helps brain health, improves vocabulary for communication and writing, enhances cognitive function, and can help lower blood pressure.

Your options for reading books is very different than it was 30 years ago.  Today you can load a digitial version on your device, listen to audiobooks on a website or app, and of course you still get a book online or from a bookstore that is a hardback and paperback edition.

Whether you enjoy sitting down with a book at night before bed or playing an audiobook while you are driving, consuming books are a great way to unplug from the all-consuming digital world we live in today.

What Books Should You Add To Your List For 2025 Summer Season?

For adults, reading Non-Fiction Books creates new layers of knowledge and improves the utilization of vocabulary in daily life.  What I enjoy most about these books give is the opportunity to learn about famous people from history and present new information about major events.
