One of the highlights of the spring in South Jersey is when we learn about different local businesses reopening for the season. From Ocean City to Stone Harbor to every New Jersey Shore Town, the reopening of different restaurants is a clear sign that summer will be here soon.

I enjoy walking around the Coastal Communities see what businesses are getting ready to reopen, and which establishments on the boardwalk that have already have opened their doors.

The Next Seasonal Business Reopening For The Season Is In Sea Isle City

Located off Exit 17 on the Garden State Parkway, this is one of the most popular shore towns in South Jersey. There are numerous businesses located on the Promenade between 35th and 44th streets. One of the most beloved eateries across from the beach made their grand reopening official.

Entering their third year at the new location off 38th street on the Promenade, Lou Dogs has been a staple of summers at the Jersey Shore since 1982. Both Sea Isle City Vacationers and Cape May County year-round residents love a good hot dog in the summertime.

On Lou Dogs' social media, they dropped this statement about their reopening for the 2026 season:

"It’s getting real…we’re just 8 days away from opening day!!! We have so many fun surprises in store for you this summer. Get hype & get here, NEXT SATURDAY 5/9 at 11am!"

It is exciting to see the Coastal Communities coming alive with the local businesses reopening. Sea Isle City is one of my favorite South Jersey Shore Towns, and I can't wait to visit Lou Dogs and all the great seasonal businesses this summer!

Remember These Places That Use To Be In Sea Isle City, New Jersey

Thanks in part to the Ash Wednesday Storm of 1962 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012, Sea Isle City has seen many changes over the years. Whether you grew up in South Jersey or vacationed multiple summers in Sea Isle City, you may remember some of these buildings and businesses that no longer exist. Which ones below do you remember most? (Special Thank you to the Sea Isle Historical Museum for helping me get these pictures and information)
