Three games shy of the official midway point of the season, the Flyers are ready to ring in the new year.

The question is whether 2017 will be any better than 2016. There’s plenty of room for improvement and the Flyers know it. They’ve talked about being more consistent and trying to make their path to the playoffs much easier than it was last year.

Here are three more specific resolutions that could help them potentially get to the playoffs quicker than the last weekend of games.

Play it through

In all the Flyers’ inconsistencies, this one thing has held true pretty much throughout the season: the inability to play a full game. Or even a full period. In 38 games this season, the Flyers have allowed 16 goals within the final two minutes of a period and only two of those have been empty-net tallies.
