PHILADELPHIA (973espn.com) - The Eagles have reworked their personnel department and announced the changes on Monday.

Joe Douglas' right-hand man on the personnel side, Andy Weidl, was promoted to director of player personnel, a bump from his former tag of assistant director of player personnel although his position as Douglas' top lieutenant in the department essentially remains unchanged.

The organization also made a number of other changes in the department led by a promotion for Alan Wolking, the former southeast area scout for the team who is now the assistant director of college scouting.

The Eagles also added three scouts: Patrick Stewart, Shawn Heinlen, and Lee DiValerio.

Stewart spent 11 years with New England and will be a national scout for Philadelphia while Heinlen, who will scout the southwest for the Eagles, is also a long-time AFC East guy, spending the prior 15 years with Buffalo. DiValerio, meanwhile, comes on as a scouting assistant after working as a student assistant on the Main Line at Villanova.

Other changes include shifts for Ryan Myers (west coast area scout), Jim Ward (northeast area scout), and Casey Weidl (player personnel coordinator). Casey Weidl is Andy's younger brother and had been the college scouting coordinator.

Leaving the organization are Mike Bradway, who is now working in Kansas City, and Trey Brown, he made somewhat famous by a Microsoft Surface commercial.

The Eagles also gave salary-cap whiz Jake Rosenberg, Roseman's right-hand man, a promotion on the football operations side, changing his title from director of football administration to vice president of football administration.

A star behind the scenes Rosenberg works with Roseman and Douglas on the organization's plana for player signings and acquisitions while working on salary-cap management, contract negotiations and compliance with the NFL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Philadelphia also named Joe Ferrari, who had been working in the league office, as the club's new director of football operations while Dan Ryan was promoted to director of team travel and football logistics.
