April Marks The Return Golf To Augusta And Phillies Baseball
As a casual golfer, April marks the time of year when the weather changes into Spring and the Golf world celebrates one of its most historic events of the year: The Masters is the first Major tournament of the PGA Tour year that has been held in the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, since 1934. The Masters catches the eye of millions of people with its course's natural beauty and one of the most challenging 18 holes in the world. It's also a rite of passage with awarding of the winner of that year's tournament with the famous Green Jacket by last year's winner. This tournament inspires the casual golfers and “hackers” to get out on the course to play more golf.
The Phillies are off to a great start by sweeping the Braves followed by taking two out of three games from the Mets in their first week of play. It is very encouraging to see the 2021 Phillies much improved bullpen do their job and close out games that last year they would blown. At 5-1 and in first place in the NL East, this weekend the Phillies travel to Atlanta and start next week in New York before returning home to face the St. Louis Cardinals at Citizens Bank Park.
The Philadelphia 76ers are currently 35-16 and trailing the Brooklyn Nets by a half game in the Eastern Conference standings. The Sixers have twenty one games remaining in the regular season as they prepare to take on the Pelicans on Friday Night in New Orleans then travel to Oklahoma City to play the Thunder on Saturday.
