March Madness is down to the Sweet 16, with the NCAA Tournament starting back up on Tuesday night.

Earlier in the month of March, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference gave Atlantic City a little touch of the madness, crowning the Sienna Saints as its champions.  They entered the NCAA bracket as a No. 16 seed and pushed No. 1-seeded Duke to their limits before finally falling 71-65 in the first round.

The Saints were led by former Syracuse star Gerry McNamara, who was quickly scooped up by his alma mater.

The MAAC Effect: Lessons from Siena, Iona, and Saint Peter’s

Atlantic City has seen some great stories with the MAAC, from McNamara to Rick Pitino and Walter Clayton leading Iona to a MAAC title in 2023, then landing bigger gigs at St John's and Florida in 2024. Clayton helped lead the Gators to an NCAA title a year after winning the MAAC here in Atlantic City. Pitino's Red Storm are still alive in this year's tournament and will face Duke.

Who can forget Saint Peter's run to the Elite 8 in 2022, which all started with a MAAC Championship in Atlantic City.

Before the MAAC was creating some Marc Madness memories, the Atlantic 10 Conference played its conference tournament at Boardwalk Hall from 2007 to 2012 before leaving for Brooklyn in 2013-2016.

The Nomad Years: Why the A-10 Needs Stability

After the three seasons at the Barclays Center, the A-10 has been a nomad, playing one in Pittsburgh, one in Washington D.C., one back in Brooklyn, one in Dayton, back to Washington D.C., Brooklyn, D.C and back to Pittsburgh this season.

A-10 Commissioner Dan Leibovitz Seeks a Permanent Home

Now the A-10 is looking for a new permanent home. The new commissioner, Dan Leibovitz, has said he wants to find a place to play in the same spot every year.

Solving the Scheduling Puzzle: MAAC, A-10, and NJSIAA Wrestling

This year, the MAAC ran the hall from March 5-10, while the A-10 was held in Pittsburgh at PPG Paints Arena from March 11-15.

Bringing Local Favorites Like St. Joe’s and LaSalle Back to the Boards

The MAAC has become such a fun tournament that I would hate to see it leave. Adding the A-10 would give the city another awesome event, with some local teams like LaSalle and St. Joe's to cheer on.

It just happens that they both could fit.

I know the one issue would be the NJSIAA Wrestling Championships, which ran March 12-14 this year.

I am sure there is a way to make it all work.
