One of the highlights of visiting the Jersey Shore during the summer months are the small businesses that have old-fashioned concepts operating in the 21st Century.

Among those charming New Jersey Shore Town businesses that locals and vacationers enjoy visiting each year are bakeries, coffee shops, and cafes. Many of these businesses are a blend of traditional small-town products offered alongside modern amenities.

For people who enjoy coffee and pastries in the morning or midday, one of the popular South Jersey seasonal businesses has announced their Grand reopening for the 2025 Season is this month.

In just a few years, Shorebreak Cafe has become one of the most popular spots for coffee and pastries in Cape May County.  They have been nominated for multiple awards in the last couple of years.

Last summer, Shorebreak Cafe moved to a new location after their first few years in downtown Sea Isle City. When plans were announced to redevelop the property when the Ludlam Bar and Hotel stood at the corner of JFK Boulevard and Landis Avenue, Shorebreak Cafe had to move south.

After moving two miles south, this will be the second year that Shorebreak Cafe will be at 8301 Landis Avenue. The Grand Reopening for the 2025 season will be Friday, April 5th, and the cafe will start 2025 open Thursday to Monday.

We at Townsquare Media South Jersey reached out and have not heard back from Shorebreak Cafe about when their schedule will expand to be open seven days this summer.  Also, at the time of writing this article, we have not been informed of when Shorebreak Cafe's original location will be rebuilt in downtown Sea Isle City.

The current location for Shorebreak Cafe was the home of Nickelby's Country Store for almost 40 years before they closed a couple of years ago. The building was originally constructed in the 1960's and for decades, there was a gas station adjacent to the property before the turn of the century.

Remember These Places That Use To Be In Sea Isle City, New Jersey

Thanks in part to the Ash Wednesday Storm of 1962 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012, Sea Isle City has seen many changes over the years. Whether you grew up in South Jersey or vacationed multiple summers in Sea Isle City, you may remember some of these buildings and businesses that no longer exist. Which ones below do you remember most? (Special Thank you to the Sea Isle Historical Museum for helping me get these pictures and information)
