Kane Brewing’s “Sunday Brunch” Named Best Beer in New Jersey
When it comes to the top bee in New Jersey, there are plenty to choose from.
The craft beer industry has taken off in recent years, and while it has hit some bumps in the road, there are still a ton of great breweries all over the state, especially here in South Jersey.
Atlantic, Cape May, Southern Ocean, and Cumberland Counties have plenty of great craft beer options that could be considered the best beer in the state.
I'm an IPA fan, so I tend to lean towards breweries that have strong IPAs like The Seed in Atlantic City, or Gusto in North Cape May, SoPo's Flake News, Ludlahm Island's Water Guns and Rainbows, to name a few.
However, there is one beer in Monmouth County that has been named the best in New Jersey by the popular website Vine Pair, which named the highest-rated beer in every state by using the Beer Advocate’s list from breweries across the country, using only beers with over 100 ratings.
Kane Brewing Takes Top Spot for 2025
The winner? Kane Brewing Company in Ocean Township, which opened in 2011, has the highest-rated beer in the Garden State for 2025.
Their Party Wave IPA was the highest-rated beer a few years ago by Vine Pair.
Meet “Sunday Brunch” — A New Jersey Favorite
The beer is called Sunday Brunch, an imperial milk Porter with rock coffee, cinnamon, and maple syrup
On the popular beer rating app, Untapped, the beer received a rating of 4.42 out of 5, making it a very highly rated beer.
Kane also had the highest rated stout in the state, with their beer "A Night to End All Dawns," which was a 4.36 out of 5 on the Untapped app.
A Night To End All Dawns is a massive Imperial Stout that spent over a year in bourbon barrels. It was one of the first beers we brewed in 2011 when we opened, and it has been a special part of our history.
This isn't the first time this favorite has been the highest-rated stout in New Jersey.
Have you tried these beers from Kane Brewing Company? What is your favorite beer in the state?
