Big Weekend with the Phillies, NHL Playoffs and more

This will be a busy sports weekend...are you ready?  I can tell you we in The Locker Room will be ready because the Phillies have won seven games in a row and six since they "relieved" Joe Girardi as their Manager.  Now the Arizona Diamondbacks come to town two games under .500 but they are one game behind the Phillies in the National League Wild Card standings.  Plus the Diamondbacks' two best pitchers are on the mound this weekend in Philadelphia: 2014 World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner and Bishop Eustace Prep in Pennsauken, NJ Graduate Zac Gallen! 

Heading into Game Four on Friday night, the Boston Celtics lead the Golden State Warriors 2-1 in the 2022 NBA Finals (listen to Game 4 Friday Night on 973 FM ESPN Radio) while the New York Rangers are down 3-2 in the Eastern Conference Finals after their loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday Night (You can listen to Game 6 of the NHL Playoffs ECF on Saturday Night on 973 FM ESPN Radio).  Plus, the 154th running of the Belmont Stakes is Saturday evening; The Belmont is the longest race as the third leg of the Triple crown at a mile and a half in distance.  Also, the annual Shoprite LPGA Classic is back at Seaview in Galloway. Pete Thompson and I will be there Sunday for the final round!

On Saturday’s show, former 3x All-Big Ten Linebacker and former Eagles player Brad Quast joins me in the studio.  We have three big guests for the busy show: First The Sports Book Consigliere Dave Sharapan checks in from Las Vegas with his take on the best bets for the sports weekend.  Next, we will hear from the founder of fastlanehandicapper.com Jeffrey Nash who will review the field in the 154th running of the Belmont Stakes.  Finally, it’s our weekly Beach Patrol Report, brought to you by Groundhogs Moving Company!  This week we will talk with a Lieutenant of the Avalon Beach Patrol Eric Wolf.
