Flyers GM Paul Holmgren attempted to quiet reports that Ilya Bryzgalov may have been injured in Monday's loss to Tampa Bay. On Tuesday, news surfaced that Bryzgalov has a chip fracture in his right foot and will miss at least Thursday's game at Toronto and is otherwise day-to-day.

According to reports, Bryzgalov had X-rays after the Lighting game and was limping around the locker room but Holmgren was quick to issue a statement that his starting goaltender was "fine."  Flyers fan are probably thinking, "here we go again" with respect to their team’s goaltending situation as Bruzgalov was finally earning the nine-year, $51-million he signed for this off-season.

Sergei Bobrovsky will get the start in Toronto on Thursday night and the Flyers have recalled Jason Bacashihua from Adirondack of the AHL.

In other Flyers injury news, Kimmo Timonen, who missed five games earlier this month with a back problem, is day-to-day with an upper body issue.
