Cape May County Named Most Beautiful in New Jersey — Here’s Why You Should Visit
One of the things we do on the radio in sports is debate.
We debate who should hit leadoff for the Phillies, what's the best cheesesteak in the area, or the best pizza.
However, one thing we can all agree on we have a lot of cool places to check out in South Jersey, and it's why the area has become one of the top New Jersey summer vacation spots. With the sandy beaches, boardwalks, and amusement parks, South Jersey has something for everyone, which is why people flock to the area for the summer season.
But, only one county has been named the Most Beautiful County in New Jersey.
Recently, the people at LoveExploring ranked the Most Beautiful County, Parish, or Borough in Each State.
With all that New Jersey has to offer, which county would you say is the most beautiful?
What Makes Cape May Stand Out in South Jersey
Cape May County has been recognized as the Most Beautiful County in New Jersey. It's at the very bottom of the state, but has a ton of great views from Cape May, the beaches, boardwalks, and amusement parks from Ocean City down to the Wildwoods.
Places like Avalon, Stone Sea Isle, and Stone Harbor offer unique shopping, beautiful beaches, and great restaurants. Offshore, in Upper, Middle, Dennis, and Lower Township, there are golf courses, breweries, wineries, and vineyards to explore.
Why Cape May County Was Named the Most Beautiful
Cape May, at the tip of the peninsula, is the crowning sandy glory of this Jersey Shore county, whose stretch of beaches and boardwalk with restaurants and amusement park rides is basically retro heaven. It also includes The Wildwoods, home to a strip of mid-century modern inns dubbed ‘Doo Wop’ motels – adding further to the vintage charm.
Here are a few Cape May County attractions and things to do when you get there:
