Remember when Cliff returned to the Phillies? Remember the billboards and newspaper ads across the area proclaiming our love and affection for the lefty? Well, would it have been the same if we knew that by mid-August 2012 he wouldn't have a win at home?Who knows. What we do know is that Cliff Lee now remains winless at Citizens Bank Park.

Thanks in large part to Matt Holiday who smacked a three-run bomb in the sixth inning, Lee moved to 1-5 on the year, with a 3.98 ERA. That homer, which kicked off the Phillies 4-1 defeat, according to philly.com, was the eighth homer hit off Lee in the sixth inning or later. Five of them have either created a Phillies deficit or tied the game.

So while this season may be a wash, the Phillies may be able to improve in the off-season, and return better than ever next year. But, will Cliff Lee bounce back -- that is if he remains in a Phillies uniform next year.
