Eagles' best number: 3 (Points allowed in the second half)

Eagles' worst number: 24 (Points allowed in first half)

View from my living room:
If you thought the Eagles were in disarray against the Giants, you should have seen Mimi (my wife) and Poppy (me) at Uncle Bill's Pancake House in North Cape May earlier Sunday with our three grandsons.

Three stars

    1. Giants running back Saquon Barkley (2 touchdowns)

    1. Giants safety Xavier McKinney (2 interceptions)

    1. Giants linebacker Azeez Ojulari (2 sacks)

Eagles' best play
Coach Nick Sirianni wisely benched quarterback Jalen Hurts and the rest of the starters in the second half after falling behind 24-0.

Eagles' worst play

Sirianni allowed Hurts to stay in the game for a series in the second quarter after the Giants took a 24-0 lead and Hurts suffered a finger injury to his throwing hand.

Turning point
The game was essentially over in the second quarter, when the Giants took a 24-0 lead on quarterback Tyrod Taylor's 19-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Darius Slayton. The Eagles played their backups for the entire second half.

Did you notice?
The Eagles (11-6) are the fifth seed in the NFC playoffs as a wildcard and will play at NFC South Champion Tampa Bay (9-8) in the first round next week.… The Cowboys won the NFC East, marking the 18th straight year a different team has won the division.… The Eagles' 27-10 loss was their fifth defeat in their last six games.  According to NBC Sports Philadelphia, they became the first team in NFL history to start 10-1 and fail to win at least 12 games in the regular season.… Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown suffered a knee injury in the first quarter and did not return.… Hurts came back despite suffering a finger injury in the second quarter
