Dooney’s Pub Set to Open in Egg Harbor Township, Replacing Tilton Inn
It was over a year ago when the Tilton Inn announced they were closing its doors for good. The former local hangout closed on April 27, 2024, after an amazing 60-year run, but a new spot is taking its place.
Dooney’s Pub Set to Open in Egg Harbor Township
We wrote about Dooney's Pub taking over the 6823 Tilton Road location in Egg Harbor Township, and now it appears we are getting closer to the new spot opening. While no exact date has been given, Dooney's did post on social media that they will be opening in the fall of 2025.
The wait is over 👀 Dooney's Pub Egg Harbor Township is coming this Fall. Stay tuned, the countdown is on
I went to one of Dooney's other locations in July and was told to expect the EHT location to open sometime in October.
Here is a look at the inside of the Voorhees location:
As you can see, there are plenty of TVs over the bar, and there were a ton of TVs throughout the restaurant. If the EHT location is anything like the Voorhees location, it will be a great place to watch the Phillies, Sixers, Flyers, Eagles, NFL, and college football games this season
What to Expect on the Menu
I had their French onion soup and Smash Tacos, which were recommended to me by our waitress. They included two smashed and grilled burgers on flour tortillas, sautéed onions, Cooper Sharp American, pickles, shredded lettuce, tomato, and drizzled with their House Sauce.
Here is a look at the full menu for their Voorhees location.
Craft Beer & Local Favorites
For craft beer fans, they had a really solid menu that had plenty of local craft beers from MudHen in Wildwood, Glasstown in Millville, Bonesaw, Tonewood, Magnify, Cape May Brewing, and many others.
Driving by Dooney's Pub, you can see some slight changes to the building, with new signage taking the place of the previous Tilton signs, so it at least from the outside, it looks like they are almost ready to open.
