Research Proves The Eagles Have One of the Best NFL Fan Bases

If you ask any Philadelphia Eagles fan, they will not be shy about proclaiming their loyalty to "The Birds". While some NFL fan bases would dispute it, Eagles fans would say they are the best Football fans in all of Professional American Football.

While the Eagles organization does not have the history of championships that NFL franchises such as the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers can boast, the reality is that Philadelphia Sports Fans are among the most passionate in the United States.

The website Covers.com surveyed thousands of fans across the United States to find out which NFL Fan Bases are the most loyal. They asked questions such as "Do you always bet on your favorite team to win" and "Would you encourage your children to support your favorite team" as part of their methodology to rank the most loyal fan bases.

Where Do Eagles Fans Rank on list of Most Loyal NFL Fan Bases

The researchers at Covers.com compiled all the survey answers and combined it with NFL attendance data to rank the Most Loyal Fans. To the chagrin of Football fans outside the Philadelphia area, the Eagles have been rated the number one most loyal NFL Fan Base.

The Eagles fans account for the second-highest road attendance in the NFL and have the third-highest percentage of fans who bet on their team to win no matter what the betting odds. Also, Eagles fans had the second-highest percentage of NFL fans who would not accept work or employment with a rival team no matter how much it pays.

An interesting result of the Covers.com study results shows that the number two Most Loyal Fan Base in the NFL is also the Eagles' Week One Opponent for the 2024 season: the Green Bay Packers. The third-oldest NFL Franchise has the longest season ticket waiting list in the league and the third-highest percentage of fans who would encourage their children to root for their favorite team.

Only one of the Eagles' NFC East rivals landed in the top ten of the Most Loyal NFL Fans Rankings. New York Giants fans are ranked the fifth most loyal NFL fan base and are the fourth-highest percentage of fans who will bet on their team to win no matter what.

Contrary to how loud and boisterous Dallas Cowboys fans can be, they rank as the 17th Most Loyal NFL Fan Base. Coming in 29th place (out of 32 NFL Teams) in the Fan Loyalty Rankings are Washington Commanders Fans.
