Despite reports that New England Patriots Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels is the front runner for the Eagles Head Coaching job, the organization continues to conduct an exhaustive interview process and they will interview another former NFL Head Coach this week:

Dennis Allen has worked as the New Orleans Saints Defensive Coordinator for the last six seasons after compiling an 8-28 record as the Oakland Raiders from 2012 to 2014.  Dennis Allen is the second Defensive Coordinator to interview for the job this week; Tampa's Todd Bowles interviewed with the Eagles on Monday and also is a former NFL Head Coach.

Allen, who is currently 48 years old, has coached the Saints Defense to top ten in the NFL in Turnovers Forced the last four seasons and top ten Rushing Defense the last four seasons.  Historically, Allen's Defenses have been inconsistent against Passing Offenses ranking 15th or worse in the NFL in nine of his last ten seasons.

Allen joins an interesting group of candidates for the Eagles Head Coaching job, a list that includes with Patriots' Josh McDaniels, Tampa's Todd Bowles, Eagles' Duce Staley, Panthers Offensive Coordinator Joe Brady, and Colts Offensive Coordinator Nick Sirianni
