Eagles Interviewing Cowboys Coordinator For Head Coaching Job

The Philadelphia Eagles are not taking any shortcuts in their goal to have an exhaustive search for their next Head Coach and on Tuesday, the organization is now interviewing a coach from the Dallas Cowboys

Kellen Moore just finished his second year as the Cowboys' Offensive Coordinator after a six year NFL career as a backup Quarterback, the final three years as the Cowboys' Backup QB.  At 31 years old, Moore is the same age as the Panthers' Offensive Coordinator Joe Brady, who interviewed with the Eagles last week, and the same age as Sean McVay when the Rams hired him as Head Coach back in 2017.

Under Kellen Moore's play calling, the Dallas Cowboys finished top ten in the NFL in Passing Yards and top 15 in Points Scored the last two seasons, despite the loss of franchise Quarterback Dak Prescott for most of the 2020 season.  Moore turned down the opportunity to return to his alma matter, Boise State, to be their next Head Coach.  Moore was a prolific College Quarterback at Boise State as a four year starter, finishing his career top ten in NCAA FBS History in Passing Yards (14,667 - 6th), Completion Percentage (69.8% - 3rd), and Passing Touchdowns (142 - 2nd).

Kellen Moore becomes the 10th person to being interviewing for the Eagles Head Coaching job, joining a list that includes Saints' Defensive Coordinator Dennis Allen, Tampa's DC Todd Bowles, Panthers' OC Joe Brady, Patriots' Josh McDaniels, and Colts' OC Nick Sirianni.
