Eagles Join the Phillies and Flyers for Sports Summer Fun
The Philadelphia Eagles Training Camp had players report on Tuesday and players on the Practice Field on Wednesday this week; The Nick Sirianni Regime has begun! All eyes are now on the Birds despite the Flyers Offseason and the Phillies still in the playoff hunt.
The Phillies are up against the trading deadline and need to make a move before the 4pm deadline on Friday. Are the Phillies Buyers or Sellers? We will find out before the weekend begins!
The Flyers are trying their hardest to steal all the headlines by making a series of moves to change the complexion and direction of the team's future. Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher has made it clear to the Flyers fan base that they want to win and now!! After making a couple of big trades last week, the Flyers picked up three free agents including 35 year old defenseman Keith Yandle, who holds the longest active Ironman Streak in the NHL at 922 consecutive regular season games played.
Finally with each week that passes by we get closer to finding out which South Jersey Beach Patrol will rule supreme at the Jersey shore! Tonight don’t miss 97.3 ESPN’s live coverage of the Dutch-Hoffman Memorial Lifeguard races from the beach in Wildwood, New Jersey. The first of the "Big Three" races, beach patrols from Cape May Point to Brigantine will compete for this prestigious honor! Coverage starts at 6pm on 97.3 ESPN Radio and the 973 ESPN App.
The Locker Room with Billy Schweim will cover it all this weekend! Starting on Saturday’s show, Scott McKay and I will talk with the Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher about the new look Flyers and his vision for this year's team! Then we will recap the Phillies versus Pirates Friday Night and react to the team's decisions moving forward down the stretch run. Also we will talk about the Eagles after their first three days of camp! Plus recap the results from the Dutch-Hoffman Memorial Lifeguard races.
On Sunday’s show, The Locker Room will take a closer look at the Birds camp with Paul Domowitch from the Philadelphia Daily News. Plus I’m excited to talk with Kristen Moorby, Cape May Point Beach Patrol Race Director, who is in Tokyo, Japan covering the Olympics for NBC Sports. This is a first for The Locker Room!!! Kristen ran the 13th Annual Cape May Point Women’s Lifeguard Challenge.
All that and more this weekend when you listen to The Locker Room with Billy Schweim every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to Noon on 97.3 ESPN radio.
Don’t forget to come visit me at All Campus on the Boardwalk in Ocean City for the Rant Booth from 6-9pm Saturday Night!!
