Eagles Land Brock Bowers in former GM’s Mock Draft

The Eagles' offseason has been a busy one thus far.

The team has added fresh talent on both sides of the ball but will have another big opportunity to land more at the NFL Draft, starting with pick 22.

Overall, the team has eight picks to work with, but pick No. 22 is a valuable opportunity to improve the team.

ESPN front office executive, Mike Tannenbaum, who has worked in multiple front offices, including the Jets and Dolphins made his mock draft with what he would do for each NFL team in Round 1.

The Eagles could go in a variety of ways. Both offensive and defensive lines are always good bets for Howie Roseman. The team could look at adding some youth at corner, adding a safety, or maybe a linebacker (doubtful).

How about a tight end?

Tannenbaum likes the idea of taking Georgia tight end Brock Bowers with No. 22.

Could you imagine a personnel grouping of Bowers, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert with a healthy Jalen Hurts under center?

Bowers is a huge talent and there is some merit to this.

When Zack Ertz was entering his fifth NFL season, they took Dallas Goedert in Round 2. Ertz was 27 at the time, Goedert will be entering his seventh NFL season at 29. Goedert has two years remaining on his deal he signed back in 2021.

Bowers had 2,538 receiving yards and 26 receiving TDs over three seasons for the Bulldogs and would be another weapon for the Eagles offense, but might be an even piece to the puzzle down the road.

The question is, will Roseman look to improve more for today or keep an eye on tomorrow?
