Eagles Nick Sirianni Ranks Top Five Most Popular NFL Head Coaches
Whether you are an Eagles fan or not, Head Coach Nick Sirianni can be a polarizing person. Most NFL fans either love or hate how passionate Sirianni is about the game of football and there have been debates about if he has the proper etiquette for the Head Coach of a Football Team.
So where does Nick Sirianni stand among the most popular Head Coaches in the NFL today? The website Gambling.com compiled a list based on Online searches of each Head Coach and with the data ranked each man based on Online Popularity.
According to their rankings, Nick Sirianni is the Third Most Popular NFL Head Coach Online, averaging 114,000 monthly searches. There is a high volume of people looking up information about the Eagles Head Coach each month compared to other NFC East Coaches, none of whom are in the top nine in these rankings.
The two NFL Coaches who are higher in the Online Popularity rankings are Denver Broncos Head Coach Sean Payton and Miami Dolphins Head Coach Mike McDaniel. Payton was a major hire for the Broncos this offseason after spending a year working as a TV Analyst so there was a lot of attention on him on day one of his new job. McDaniel's quirky tendencies and unique press conference answers combined with the Dolphins being on this year's HBO Sports Hard Knocks In-Season Show had elevated his popularity.
Only five of the top coaches on the list are Super Bowl Champions (Sean Payton, Bill Belichick, Mike Tomlin, Sean McVay, Mike McCarthy) which goes to show that Online Popularity does not equal winning. Two-time Super Bowl Champion Andy Reid is ranked 13th with an average of 46,000 Online Searches per month. Another former Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson is 15th on the list while former Eagles Offensive Coordinator Shane Steichen is 21st on the list despite being a candidate for NFL Coach of the Year.
