The Eagles have rewarded quarterback Nick Foles.

The team paid Foles, who led the team to the playoffs with three straight wins to end the season, a $1 million signing bonus that he just missed after he was forced to leave Week 17 in the fourth quarter after aggravating a rib injury.

The bonus was for playing in 33-percent of the teams snaps, a total he missed by just four snaps due to the injury.

So after kicking the can down the road, the Eagles must decide on what to do with Foles. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Eagles are not expected to retain Foles this offseason and that there will be a "quality trade market" for the signal-caller.

Foles and the Eagles have a mutual option for next season. The Eagles can exercise a $20 million option, which Foles can buy out for $2 million to be a free agent.  The team could also use the franchise tag, which would pay him around $25 million, and try to trade him.

Its been a wild two year run for the Super Bowl MVP, he ended up starting seven games this season in place of an injured Carson Wentz, winning five of them.

This season he completed 184-of-266 passes (69.2%) for 1,880 yards, 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

One team to keep an eye on this offseason for Foles' services?

1010 XL Jacksonville's Hays Carlyon believes the hiring of OC John DeFilippo "strengthens the possibility" of the Jaguars "making an aggressive play" for Foles.

So what is the most probable possibility for the Eagles and Foles?

Either way, it will be something to keep an eye on this offseason.
