Eagles Inactives: Dallas Goedert out vs Chiefs
The Philadelphia Eagles will indeed be without tight end Dallas Goedert for Sunday’s Week 2 road matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
It is unclear when the knee injury occurred for Goedert, who was designated among the Eagles’ inactives on Sunday after being listed as out with a knee injury on Friday’s game status report.
Goedert caught 7-of-7 targets for 44 yards in the Eagles’ Week 1 win over the Cowboys but was unable to practice all week

Also inactive is backup quarterback Tanner McKee, who will serve as Philadelphia’s emergency third quarterback. McKee has been dealing with a broken thumb, but did throw the ball in practice this week.
The Eagles’ other inactives are running back Will Shipley, who is dealing with a rib injury, edge rushers Azeez Ojulari and Ogbo Okoronkwo, and rookie offensive lineman Drew Kendall.

New Additions Ready to Step In
With Shipley’s status in question, the Eagles made a trade for running back Tank Bigsby, who is active today. Philadelphia also signed veteran edge rusher Za'Darius Smith, who is active and expected to have a role today.
Tight Ends and Receivers Set for Bigger Roles
With Goedert out, look for tight ends Grant Calcatera and Kylen Granson to have bigger roles in the offense, but the team could also go with more three-wide receiver sets with Johan Dotson as a bigger part of the offense today.
"Grant's done a really good job of stepping in and playing when Dallas hasn't been able to play these last couple years," Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said on Friday. Really excited about Kylen [Granson] and the things he can do."
Another name to keep an eye on in today's game with Goedert out is wide receiver A.J. Brown. who had just one catch against Dallas, but as NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports, the team is looking to get Brown involved “more and early” in Week 2 against the Chiefs.
