Eli Manning “Very Likely” to Start on Monday vs Eagles
If the Eagles are going to beat the Giants this week, they might need to beat veteran Eli Manning one last time.
Giants coach Pat Shurmur announced today that its "very likely" manning will start on Monday night with rookie Daniel Jones in a walking boot. Jones is dealing with a "mid high-ankle sprain" that is expected to cost him at least one game, giving Manning one more start against the Eagles.
According to Jordan Raanan of ESPN, if the game was today Jones would not be able to play.
Manning is 10-20 in his career against the Eagles, and has lost five straight and 9 of 10 against the Eagles.
Also per Raanan, there is a strong chance TE Evan Engram and WR Golden Tate return Monday, giving Giants all their healthy weapons for first time this season.
The Eagles take on the Giants this Monday night, listen to the game on 97.3 ESPN. Coverage begins at 6pm with Tony Bruno's Countdown to Kickoff Show.
