Exceptional Air Travel Experience: Flying From Atlantic City To Tampa With Spirit Airlines
Last Tuesday, I flew from Atlantic City to Tampa and had one of the best airport experiences I have ever had.
People like to complain a lot, but I am writing this to give credit and praise for my experience at ACY. My girlfriend and I were making are annual excursion to Clearwater to see some friends and watch the Phillies play a few games.

To be clear, neither Spirit nor ACY asked me to write this—I just believe positive experiences deserve recognition.
We pulled in and parked the car at 11:56 a.m.
We walked into the airport, checked our bags with one of the friendliest gentlemen, who patiently answered every question, not just ours, but those of other travelers as well. We walked to the counter and handed off our checked bag before we went to the TSA checkpoint area. We walked quickly through the TSA, and with the new scanning machines, there is no need to pull out electronics, like laptops, or even take off your shoes.
By 12:15, we were up the escalator and enjoying a quick drink at the bar before our 1:37 p.m. departure to Tampa.
Inside the plane, the staff was friendly and efficient, the flight arrived well before the advertised landing time, and in Tampa, our bags were waiting for us when we arrived on the belt.
The pilots were pleasant, and the staff and crew couldn't have been nicer. In a time where everyone seems to complain and let you know when someone doesn't do a good job, especially in the airline business, I felt I should give both ACY and Spirit Airlines a positive review.
I know it's not perfect all the time, I have had delayed flights, longer lines, and grumpy workers, but in this instance, that wasn't the case; it was quite a pleasant experience.
The only thing I would ask moving forward is for ACY to attract more airlines and add more routes, allowing more people to enjoy this great local asset.
