Professional boxing returns to Atlantic City for the first time in 16 months Saturday at Showboat Hotel.

Pleasantville welterweight Anthony Young (21-2, 8 KOs) will be taking on Todd Manuel (19-17-1, 5 KOs), of Rayne, Louisiana as part of the card being stage by Manny Rivera of Hard Hitting Promotions. Young has not fought in two years, since scoring a third-round TKO over former world champion Sadam Ali in Las Vegas.

Nine bouts are scheduled. In the main event, Puerto Rico's Christian Tapia (11-0, 10 KOs) will face Rayne's Mason Menard (36-5, 25 KOs).

Saturday's card is the first of 12 scheduled at Showboat for Hard Hitting Promotions over the next year or so.

"This has been three and a half years in the making," Rivera said last month. "And this is just the tip of the iceberg. We want to make Atlantic City the mecca of boxing again."

Tickets range from $55 to $150 and can be purchased on Hard Hitting Promotions Facebook page.
