The Flyers entered a crossroads in their homestand on Tuesday night, where a four-game losing streak meets multiple playoff teams. The Ottawa Senators, fresh off a late win on Monday night, were looking to continue their playoff push.

They did just that, as the Flyers fell for the fifth straight game on the homestand, 5-2, on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center.

It took just 24 seconds for the Senators to get on the board. Brady Tkachuk was left open for a one-timer, set up by Claude Giroux for his 27th goal of the season.

Through 20 minutes, shots were 6-5 Ottawa.

The Flyers tied the game at 3:05 of the second. Off the rush, Jamie Drysdale got the puck in the slot and went to the backhand. The shot was partially stopped by Anton Forsberg before trickling over the line for Drysdale's fifth goal of the season to make it 1-1.

Just 1:09 later, the Senators took the lead back. A long point shot by Tyler Kleven beat Ivan Fedotov to make it 2-1.

The Flyers tied the game back up at 8:45. Rodrigo Abols finished off a strong shift with a quick release on the pass from Cam York for his second goal of the season to make it 2-2.

With 4:59 left in the period, Ottawa re-gained the lead with a goal shortly after a power play. Michael Amadio finished off the rush, beating Fedotov through the five-hole for his eighth goal of the season to make it 3-2.

Through two periods, shots were 22-16 Ottawa.

The Senators added to the lead at 10:59 of the third. A turnover off an errant pass between Nick Seeler and Ryan Poehling was quickly deposited by Dylan Cozens for his 13th goal of the season, making it 4-2.

Shane Pinto scored into an empty net in the final minute of the third to cap the scoring.

Forsberg made 20 saves on 22 shots in the win. Fedotov made 19 saves on 23 shots in the loss.

Amadio and Jake Sanderson each had two points for Ottawa.

The Flyers continue the homestand on Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7 p.m.
