On Wednesday, teams around the NHL announced home opener dates, giving us two of the 82 games on the Flyers 2018-19 schedule.

The team will open the season on Oct. 4 on the road against the Vegas Golden Knights and will open at home on Oct. 9 against the San Jose Sharks.

The rest of the 2018-19 NHL schedule was released on Thursday, giving us a look at the rest of the team's list of games.

The full schedule can be viewed here, but here are a few of the highlights.

The Flyers will have both meetings against the Golden Knights in October. Their season opens in Vegas on Oct. 4, and the Golden Knights come to Philadelphia on Oct. 13.

November begins with a West coast trip for the Flyers, playing Los Angeles, San Jose and Arizona. The Flyers will also have five straight home games during the month. The annual Black Friday game is against the Rangers.

The Flyers spend most of December on the road, with just four home games in the month. Their first game of December, on the first, is a rematch of this past season's playoff series against the Pittsburgh Penguins. December also features the team's Western Canada trip with stops in Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. The Flyers will also play the Carolina Hurricanes on New Year's Eve.

There's no rest for the Flyers after a New Year's Eve game. They play on New Year's Day as well, traveling from Carolina to Nashville to face the Predators. The Flyers get their first meeting against the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals on Jan. 8.

February is highlighted by the Flyers-Penguins matchup at Lincoln Financial Field on Feb. 23. The Flyers also host the Penguins inside Wells Fargo Center on Feb. 11.

The Flyers will get a heavy dose of the Metro in March. The team has 10 games against divisional opponents in March, including three against Washington.

To close the regular season, the Flyers have just three games in April. They play Dallas and St. Louis on the road before finishing the season at home against Carolina on April 6.

In addition, the team announced that they will be wearing the black jerseys from the 2017 Stadium Series game as a third jersey at select games this season. A new jersey will also be unveiled for the 2019 Stadium Series game.
