The Philadelphia Flyers are talking with the Columbus Blue Jackets about the possibility of acquiring Rick Nash.

According to CSNPhilly.com the Blue Jackets are looking for either Brayden Schenn or Sean Couturier in any deal involving Nash.  Reports from the Columbus Dispatch Newspaper indicated that no deal is imminent and that fans should no expect a trade this weekend.

It has been indicated that the Blue Jackets are looking for a high asking price of one current NHL player, two top-tier prospects, and a draft pick.

The Flyers and Blue Jackets know each other well, they worked together last off season in the Jeff Carter deal and also a few weeks back in the Sergei Bobrovsky trade - so both organization should know what they want.

So Flyers fans, should the Flyers make a deal for Nash or is the asking price to high?

At this point, I am skeptical to give up either Brayden Schenn or Sean Couturier, both are very young and talented and can become the cornerstone pieces of the Flyers along with Claude Giroux for years to come. Not that Nash isn't an outstanding player; he is, but both Schenn and Couturier have the ability to be a 30 goal scorers.

I would pass on this deal and remain patient with the young core of this team, but something tells me that Paul Holmgren is itching to get something done.
