Former Ocean City high school pitching star Danny Nunan is starting to find his groove.

The 22-year old former Red Raider is having his best stretch as a pro since being selected by the Los Angeles Angels back in 2018.

Nunan was a 12th round pick and has pitched in 36 minor league games but over his last eight games he has really excelled.

According to Jared Tims, who follows Angels minor leaguers, Nunan has a 1.93 ERA over his last 14 innings pitched with 12 strikeouts.

For the season, Nunan is pitching for the Inland Empire 66ers, a Single-A affiliate of the Angels. He currently has pitched in 20 games with a 3.51 ERA and outstanding 1.05 WHIP. He has also struk out 29 batters in 33.1 innings pitched this year.

While at Ocean City, the 6-foot-6 lefty was a strike out machine, punching out 146 batters in just 82 innings.
