While NFL free agency doesn't officially open for business until March 10, you are already hearing rumors and names in what is a very deep free agent class.

One of the top names in this year's class is Seahawks cornerback Byron Maxwell.  While the Seahawks have opened extension talks with Maxwell, expect the Eagles to actively pursue him if he hits the open market.

"I'm the prettiest girl at the dance right now," Maxwell said about his free agent status.

Listen to Jeff McLane discuss Byron Maxwell and Eagles news and notes:

He's been a major part of Seattle's success on the defensive-side of the ball since replacing Brandon Browner two years ago. He is the top rated free agent corner and should draw interest from multiple teams including Philadelphia.

"He's better in man coverage than anyone Philly has," ESPN.com NFL insider KC Joyner said on the Sports Bash.  "He's a guy you don't want to throw at."

One thing is for sure, Maxwell is going to be a very rich man soon.  It's something Maxwell has thought about and he spoke about that this week at the Super Bowl.

"Yeah, of course. It would be hard not to think about your future. Especially what's in my future, how it could help my family," Maxwell admitted. "It would be hard not to be like, 'What could be next?' Right now, this week, I'm focusing on this."

One of the things that sticks out about Maxwell is his size.  He's a big, long-armed press corner and has shown the ability to handle himself when teams have thrown his way, avoiding RIchard Sherman.
