The Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Kansas City Chiefs throughout Super Bowl 59 and blew out the defending champs 40-22. This was a masterful performance on all sides of the ball. Jalen Hurts was named Super Bowl MVP.

The defense suffocated Patrick Mahomes and did not let him have much time at all to operate in the pocket. He was sacked six times and turned it over three times. The six sacks by this defense were the most by any defense against Mahomes in his career. Cooper DeJean picked off a pass and returned it for a touchdown as well.

Meanwhile, the offense also did its job. The Chiefs kept Saquon Barkley from beating them and wanted Jalen Hurts to be the one who had to win it for the Eagles. Hurts did just that. He completed 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Hurts also carried it 11 times for 72 yards and another touchdown. Barkley did rack up 97 total yards despite being held to just 57 rushing yards on 25 carries.

The special teams did their part as well. After a roller coaster of a season featuring missed field goals and extra points, Jake Elliott was perfect. He made all four field goals he attempted and all four extra point attempts. He booted a 50 yard field goal, two 48 yard field goals and a 29 yarder.

Overall, just a dominating performance by this team from start to finish. They did not allow the Chiefs offense to cross midfield until the third quarter and did not allow a point until the final 34 seconds of the third quarter. The Eagles led 34-0 after a dime from Jalen Hurts to DeVonta Smith for a 46-yard touchdown. They also led 40-6 with less than three minutes remaining in the game.

In the two biggest games of the season (Super Bowl and NFC Championship Game) the Eagles combined to score 95 points. This coaching staff led by Head Coach Nick Sirianni, Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio and Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore had this team ready to play and outcoached each of their counterparts on the Chiefs.

The Eagles are Super Bowl Champs for the second time in seven years and gearing up for what should be another awesome parade down Broad Street.
