One of the top Cape-Atlantic League football programs is leaving the league.

According to various reports, including the Press of Atlantic City, what has been speculated for some time has became true as Hammonton High School is leaving the league to join the Tri-County Conference starting in 2014.  Hammonton is one of the league top football schools and recently excelled on the baseball diamond winning the State Group III crown against Ocean City.

The team will be a part of the West Jersey Football League for football only and a part of the Royal division for most other sports.
