We have all heard "April Showers bring May Flowers" but no one expected this much rain to hit New Jersey the first few days of April in 2024.  When the sun finally made an appearance on Thursday, it was just a temporary reprieve because more rain fell later that day.

According to the National Weather Service, the amount of rain that hit New Jersey over the last seven days is more than 75 percent above the Average Rain Fall for this time of year. Many areas got at least a quarter foot of rain fall causing local flooding and poor drainage issues.
