Is Atlantic City Being Considered for an Arena Football League Team?
Could the Arena Football League be heading to Atlantic City?
Yes, we know, the Atlantic City Surf, Boardwalk Bullies, Card Sharks and Seagulls all came and went, but it appears that Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis is ready to give the gaming resort another shot to prove it can handle a professional sports team.
The Boardwalk Hall played host the the 2015 Boardwalk Bowl, between the Philadelphia Soul and the Las Vegas Outlaws in front of 6,514 fans.
"We will be back next year," Jaworski announced to the crowd between the first and second quarter of the game.
For what ever reason, that never happened.
He’s trying to convince Philadelphia franchise owners to start a second team in Atlantic City; trying to get Dan Gilbert, owner of the NBA’s Cavaliers and AFL’s Gladiators, to play through arena renovations; considering buying another franchise himself to put in Richmond.
So would Atlantic City support a Arena Football team?
