A popular, Denver, Colorado-based Korean BBQ restaurant featured on Food Network is reportedly planning to open in New Jersey.

Leave it to Guy Fieri to heighten the profile of a restaurant, right?

His series 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' has put the spotlight on Dae Gee Korean BBQ on a couple of occasions. That's how you REALLY know a place is good. It brings Fieri back more than once.

With Dae Gee fully cemented in 'Flavortown', it's exciting to hear its plans to expand to the Garden State.

What is Dae Gee?

Dae Gee serves Korean/American BBQ. The name means 'pig out' in Korean, lol. The eatery was established by Joseph Kim and already has five locations in Colorado, according to NJ Biz. It was also the first Korean BBQ joint to be featured on 'DDD'.

Dae Gee offers a base of different meats or vegetables surrounded by up to eight different sides, including Kimchee, fish cakes, and more. They're food comes in a bowl, a hot stone pot, or in lettuce wraps, and Dae Gee's 'secret sauce' is not to be overlooked.

Guy Fieri calls Dae Gee 'off the hook', which is Guy-speak for AMAZING, lol.

Where Will Dae Gee be in New Jersey?

Locally, the husband-and-wife team of Brian and Carrie Devereux (who already run Max Devros in Manasquan), plan to bring Dae Gee to Ocean County or Monmouth County. They're in the process of looking for the exact right location, NJ Biz reports.

The Devereux's tell NJ Biz they can't wait to bring 'exceptional food and an interactive dining experience' to the Jersey Shore, and call New Jersey an 'untapped market' when it comes to Korean BBQ choices.

As for the man who started it all? Joseph Kim calls the Dae Gee's expansion to the Garden State a 'milestone' for his brand.
