
Jalen Hurts Adds “Children’s Book Author” to Offseason Resume
It's been a busy offseason for Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl winning quarterback Jalen Hurts.
From Super Bowl MVP to Published Author
The Eagles' signal caller not only got married this offseason, but he also added author of a children's book to his building resume.
The new book called 'Better than a Touchdown', has always been a dream of Hurts to write.
The book is an empowering story about friendship, the power of teamwork, and achieving goals together.
"Its always been a dream of mine to have my own children's book," Hurts said in a social media post. I'm blessed to say that dream has now become a reality."
What "Better Than a Touchdown" Means to Hurts
Hurts said there was a lot of hard work and love put into the writing of the book.
"Without the lessons learned, I wouldn't be where I am at today," Hurts added.
Hurts said he is excited to extend the lessons he learned to the next generation.
Better than a Touchdown carries a message we can all learn from: that by working together, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.
Hurts has gone from second-round pick to Super Bowl Most Valuable Player, leading the Eagles to their second Super Bowl win this past season, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-14.
Hurts completed 17-of-22 passes for 221 yards, two touchdowns to earn Super Bowl LIX MVP and win. During the 2024 season, Hurts compiled 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns and just five interceptions, adding 630 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in 2024.
Release Date and Who It's For
The book targets kids and will hit book stores in May of 2026.
Eagles fans will get their first glimpse of the Hurts and the Super Bowl champions on July 22 when the team reports to training camp.
